The Penn State Alumni Association

What’s been happening:

After leaving Penn State, I was lucky to have my first job working in NYC for Newsweek Broadcasting, where I started as a researcher and worked my way up to a writer/producer. I married Ariel Schwartz, also a 1978 PSU grad. I later worked on corporate documentaries for International Paper, AT&T, and American Lung Assn. Then I became a mom of two daughters--Adena (now 23 and a recent Penn State grad) and Abby (will be a freshman at University Park in fall 2009). We moved from NYC to Yonkers/Hastings-on-Hudson to Newtown, PA, where we have been living for the past 21 years. I was lucky to be a stay-at-home mom for many years--doing PR for the elementary and middle schools my daughters attended and other volunteer work for various community and women's organizations. I currently work as an editor at Peterson's, a Nelnet company--working on guides to colleges and grad schools and test-prep books. It has been fun going back to Penn State to visit...and I look forward to more trips there in the coming four years.
